Charlie now had finished up with the first marriage and the age old question came up, "Where do we go from here?" On the bulletin board, there was an opportunity
to go up to Calgary, Alberta, Canada on a five year term. Charlie would get accommodations included and he could rent out his house and it would be paid off in just
five years while he was absent. To recover from a divorce in just five years seemed like the way to go. His former partner would take the boys so Charlie had his
freedom now. Charlie researched what was waiting up in Canada and he was thinking of getting his Canadian citizenship as well. Okay, this seemed like a perfect
opportunity with perfect timing. Charlie applied and was immediately accepted. He would able to get some flex time off with the new position in which he could see
himself taking a number of road trips. He knew that this position would be like a dream come true. It was time to make plans and execute them to make this all were
come true. And what about Charlie not really knowing anyone up there in Canada? Then Charlie would have to learn a whole city and how to get around. They were not
really obstacles for Charlie since he had a map and he would make new friends easily as well. A major change in Charlie's life was now underway. Charlie was venturing
into the unknown as he wraps up the year and prepares for his big move north for June, 1999.
