On one of the walking events, the chick magnet was riding along with Charlie as they were touring some small surrounding towns this day. Charlie noticed one of the
hospital staff workers came out for the second time with the group and she was traveling alone. Charlie suggested to the chick magnet to go and ride with her since
he had met her on the first outing. When they got to the next town, the chick magnet ran up to Charlie all excited and told Charlie that lady was really interested
in him and she was asking all kinds of questions when she found out that the chick magnet and Charlie were not an item. Charlie's eyebrows lifted a little at the
thought of being with this lady. Betty was someone who loved to spend money and she had an endless supply since she made a lot of money as she was higher up on the
paid staff plus whoever her investment advisor was, they did an incredible job of managing her money and making it grow. Charlie knew that she was out of his league
for sure. But then again Charlie thought that she had a house whereas Charlie's getaway house was outside the city and Charlie was stuck to restructure unless he
met someone special and they could put their assets together and have a really good life together. Charlie's friend in Colorado Springs had a son that was going to
be getting married and Charlie was invited, but had no date. He talked to Betty about being his date for this wedding coming up and as it turned out, Betty was
going there anyways to visit some family and friends and that Saturday would work fine with her. They exchanged information and Charlie picked up Betty and off they
went to the wedding. Charlie said that Betty liked her drinks as well. Charlie was up visiting some of his friend's friends who he has not seen for awhile and while
he was away, Betty was meeting some of the people at the reception and seemed to be enjoying her time out that night. Charlie said that she gave him a couple of
kisses on the cheek that night and really did not know what to make of her as being together. Charlie saw his friend the next day and got the blow of the day. It
seems that Betty was trying to hook up with his buddy's best friend and gave him her phone number. He was not impressed and ripped up her number and had gone home
early. Charlie said to his friend that he had her number in his phone and can give it to him since it was obvious that she was dumping Charlie on their first date.
No worries said Charlie to his long time friend. I can accept being kicked to the curb again and perhaps the next number would be a better one. Haha Charlie laughed
as he said "Now serving number 984, who has number 984? As if Charlie has had that many dates in his past. I think Charlie was exaggerating a little to say the
least. That was a funny line indeed which almost hints of a little frustration in life I think as well.
