Charlie had networked with his social media account and one of his female friends started to communicate with him. They had many conversations for a number of years.
He shared his story with her along the way. Now that Charlie was in Calgary and starting to get to know the area pretty good so he invited her to come up and visit
him. She did come to Canada, but she went to Vancouver, British Columbia instead. She told Charlie that for her next trip to Canada, she would come up and see him.
Charlie figured that she would make a good partner since she had some interesting traits. She was single, never married, didn't smoke or drink, had no kids and no
pets. Finally came the day to meet her and it was a glorious time of getting to know each other and running off to see the sights. Charlie said that she was really
different and he felt right at home with her. She was like part of the family instantly. She wasn't really a girlfriend and she wasn't really a sister either. He
said that they had a lot in common as well. She lived in Arizona, basically due south of Charlie's new home. The vacation time went really well and she was to
return next year for part two of the adventure. Well, Covid hit and plans got cancelled. Then her job situation changed so she would have no time off and the return
visit just kept getting delayed. Maybe nothing there is meant to be, but it did raise some possibilities. Maybe something in a future chapter will be able to carry on
the story and then again, maybe not.
