Charlie was wondering if it was possible that there would be someone out there for him. Charlie had a number of female friends, but none were interested in romance.
Charlie said that they day he found someone would be the day he found a unicorn. Charlie then said that he keep finding unicorns as he was out and about and was now
laughing about it. He returned to a dating site one day and a lady sent him a message. Charlie looked at the photos, but thought that she did not have a high level
of chemistry, but Charlie knew that a good personality would raise those numbers anyways. This lady seemed to have a lot in common and one day they decided to meet
in person. They had a coffee and then headed out to wander around on the trails and talk. Afterwards she had an appointment to go to so they parted ways. She called
the next day to see where Charlie was at and they talked and decided that they would begin a relationship and see where life would take them. She informed Charlie
that they would not be having sex unless they got married. Charlie was okay with that request from his new girlfriend who would not be just a female friend.
Well, this did not last very long as it turned out that she was a world traveler whereas Charlie was a north american roadtripper. It was high on her list to find a
compatible partner in that area that ranked so high on her list so Charlie's potential lady now faded away into oblivion. So many finding the unicorns was just a joke
or maybe it was that this lady was not the one, but he was closer to finding the one.
First step is to build a relationship after you have decided from the get go that it is where you want to go. Through this process of talking and asking each other
many questions, you learn about each other and what your opinion is in each area of your lifestyle to hope that the other party is on the same page or might
compromise on an issue to solve a potential problem from happening in the future. So we see that communication is very important and perhaps the key to building a
long lasting forever relationship.
The Friend's Friend
Charlie was laying in bed that night pondering many thoughts. Charlie was thinking, "Where do we go from here?" She was going to be a step up from a female friend,
but not a lover. Would this be a relationship that stops at hugs, kisses, holding hands and candlelight dinners which would stay in the romance area which was a
nice area to enjoy anyways. Would this be something that progresses into marriage at some point?
