It was at this point that Charlie's romance days were over and at this turning point, it was truly a road to nowhere.
Back in the day when Charlie was on assignment, he met a professor in the library and started up a conversation. They seemed to have a lot in common and had kept in
contact over the years. Derek was a single guy at the time, but now had met the lady of his dreams and they ended up getting married. Derek talked of the powerful
connection that they had and he hoped that Charlie would find the same kind of lady with a similar connection. Charlie was introduced to his wife Wanda, and Wanda
took a big interest in finding a good partner partner for Charlie. Wanda had tried to set Charlie up with one of the relatives, but Charlie said that the chemistry
was weak and the lady looked like she had gone through a lot problems in her past marriage which had in turned carried over to how she now looked. Her personality
was fine, but overall Charlie would be passing on that lady. I can see that someone who has endured a bad marriage may take years to get over it and maybe they never
do at times.
Wanda some time later came up with another lady, but it was the same thing with no real chemistry from seeing the lady's photo. That lady shortly found a man and
Charlie was happy to hear that. Charlie was content to move along solo and watch others find their partners and to be happy for them. And you cannot even judge by
a photograph as it can be misleading. It takes viewing several photos as well to really get an idea of what the person really looks like.
Well, Wanda came up with a new single lady to try and set up with Charlie, but this time she said that she would not give Charlie a preview photo and that he would
have have to meet her in person. Charlie had the new lady's name and just went online looking for her to get his own sneak preview photo. As luck would have it,
there were 3 ladies with the same name so Charlie did not know which of the 3 she was. It did not matter to Charlie as all 3 ladies looked fine chemistry wise.
What would this next lady be like in person? And so one day Charlie was able to meet this new lady. She had after commented to Wanda, that Charlie looked like a
good guy, but she was not interested so back to square one it was for Charlie.
Wanda will be back at some future chapter with a new lady for Charlie to meet. Stay tuned for more stories of Charlie being set up with someone.
