I was talking with Charlie one day after he had given up on finding someone. Charlie had been thinking back over the years to his early 40's and the ladies that he
had met around that time. Charlie gravitated to that early 40's age bracket. It was close to the age of his sons, but still a wee bit older. I told Charlie that why
not try a dating site and see if anyone in the age bracket might just be interested in an older man. Charlie reluctantly set up a profile and left the preferences
open to a wide open age range and then waited to see what would happen.

Well, as it turned out, young lady had given Charlie and like and so they could now message back and forth. Charlie spent several hours messaging and had quite the
conversation going on. Charlie loved it as all the ladies around his age did not message much. Charlie said that they should meet the next day and she was okay to
do that. They met at a local coffee shop and then went for a walk in the park to talk further. Charlie said that she was very beautiful with a high level of chemistry
and her personality was very compatible to his plus they had many things in common. Charlie was pretty much sold out on her that she could be the one for him. It
seems that she had 4 kids and the kids lived with her ex south of the border. She wanted to have them live with her. Charlie thought over her situation and said that
it would likely be a slow process to see that happen. Since she was so young, Charlie hinted that perhaps they could consider having their own baby. While Charlie
knew more of what he wanted, Charlie figured that their relationship was developing too quickly. She needed more time to think and Charlie said not to stress over it,
but that it would take some time for her to see Charlie in all kinds of scenerios in life. Well, one day two of her children were coming to Canada to be with her
for a visit. They would be around for the rest of the summer. Since Charlie and her have not spent enough time together, Charlie would be having to sit on the
sidelines while mother and the kids had their visit together. The time for that event was fast approaching and Charlie wanted to get more time in with her before it
was too late. Well, she started to decline Charlie's planned events and Charlie was sitting on the side now beginning his time out. Maybe she had found someone else
or maybe she needed the extra few days to prep for the kid's arrival? One could only guess and all Charlie could do was to carry on with life. Then again perhaps
she decided that with her living arrangement that being with someone else was too much for her. Charlie went with the worse scenerio and continued on his way into
the future. As this was happening, Charlie's good friend said that he had a dog for Charlie to keep. The shift of one door closing and one door opening was
all taking place on the same day. So now Charlie had a dog for a companion.
